  Welcome to ....
.... the home of the UK's fastest growing Amateur Radio Repeater Network
DMRUK - What we do ...

DMRUK was founded by Michael Lockwood, G1XCC, who established the UK's first DMR/TDMA repeater (GB7TD) near Wakefield in West Yorkshire, UK. The group's aim is to promote DMR throughout the UK, to provide technical advice and assistance and to provide co-ordination between the various international affiliates.
GB7TD was closely followed by GB7HX in Huddersfield, converted from D-Star to DMR by repeater keeper John, G0PRF (Silent Key in 2014), enabling a further feature to be added the system - area roaming. Roaming allows an enabled radio to switch seamlessly between adjacent repeaters, automatically selecting the one with the strongest signal.

The UK network saw huge growth in late 2014 which continued in January 2015.

DMR is the most innovative and exciting development in amateur radio for many years, revolutionising the ham experience particularly for those of us who enjoy the hobby in a mobile environment.
